Where do I begin? I never know how to start these things. Constantly writing and rewriting. Not knowing what to share. Not having enough time.
I'm currently on a flight to Barcelona. It wasn't easy leaving Budapest. If I didn't book this flight, a week ago, I would have easily extended my stay. It was the first city I didn't spend any time doing the "touristy thing." Every day was spent eating gelato's from an Italian cafe right next door, to the best hostel I've stayed at thus far. And, the gelato was incredible! I became a regular in four days. They even gave me a free scoop. That's a big deal. For me, at least. The other thing that consumed my days were the baths. Oh, the lovely Hungarian Baths. Deep down I wanted to explore museums and Cathedrals, but then I realized I can do whatever I want. I wanted to relax. I needed that.
I explored two things in Budapest. One, the escape rooms. Me and three guys solved a crime in fifty-eight minutes. We had sixty. It felt good to solve it and have bragging rights.
Two, caving. I tagged along with two guys from Seattle and didn't regret one moment of it. My body twisted like a pretzel, trying to maneuver my way through small spaces. At one point I had to move my upper body in a dive position, twist my hip up and to the left with my legs in the air and use my upper body to crawl down and around. These are the things that excite me the most.
The night life in Budapest is quit lively. I wasn't expecting that. They have ruined buildings that have been turned into bars that have cheap drinks and good music. Actually, one spot had an insanely talented hip-hop/house DJ. I danced like no one was watching, two nights in a row. It was grand.
The chill environment of Budapest was a great way to come down from my adrenaline high in Lauterbrunnen, Switerland. Jumping out of a helicopter from 13,000 feet above ground at 120 mph was the most exhilarating moment of my life. The crazy part, I wasn't even sacred. My nerves went crazy the nights leading up to it, but once we were picked up by the company, Skydive Switzerland/ ScenicAir I was ready. I'm certain it won't be the last time I jump.
The following day was spent making our way up to Piz Gloria, where they shot 007. The two Texan brothers, I met in Amsterdam, and I had the best two days in this town. We had an epic snowball fight at Birg. Jason got it all on his GoPro. We were jumping and running in the snow. I will forever remember these moments.
Traveling alone has been a great way for me to connect with people, learn my wants and needs and reflect. It has been a privilege for me to embark on this journey. The Lord has been guiding my steps. Being able to share my testimony with so many different types of people has been a challenge. What hurts me the most is some peoples lack of faith because it was forced upon them when they were young or they are turned off by the people who claim to be followers of Christ, but only give His name a bad rap. It saddens my heart. I have been shown the light. I have been given Wisdom and Understanding by the Almighty God! I want people to know that, to know Him. One thing I do know, it'll happen in its own time. Gods timing is perfect. I'm just here to share my testimony and the love of God. Hoping to plant seeds in peoples lives. Hoping to spark curiosity. Hoping at least one person I encounter opens a bible, seeking God! Oh how glorious that would be. That's my purpose. That's what I'm out here doing. The Lord has placed me here to be a light. He has a plan for me. It's very clear.
I pray that you all see. That God may transform your life. That you are willing to surrender to Him and see how much He loves you. He is faithful! I promise you that.
