5 Groovy Things to do in Nashville

Hike Radnor

This is my happy place. I always feel an overwhelming sense of peace in this park. The trails range from easy to intermediate. If I'm in the mood for a light stroll around the lake or a long winding hike along the hills, I have my pick; so can you. An array of birds like the blue jay, northern cardinal, turkey and owl fill this place with life. I cherish the conversations had and the clarity I have obtained in this majestic area.

See Chris Weaver's Band

This band will have you singing along and dancing to some classic and current mashup tunes for hours. These guys scream talent and charisma. They stand out in a city full of proficient musicians. Check their show dates at The Stage and other venues, here:

Get Fat at Biscuit Love

Try beating the long lines by paying this place an early visit. If you do spend thirty minutes on line, I'm sure you wont regret it. You'll be walking out of here fat and miserable in no time. Something you must do when you're in the south is eat lots of bad things. Agreed?

Parthenon Replica

Want to enjoy a piece of Greece without flying there, check this place out! As someone who appreciates traveling and seeing grand buildings and ruins, this was a treat to see in Nashville; unexpected, too. No need to completely skip out on Greece-that'd be foolish now, wouldn't it?

The Station Inn

Live bluegrass every night? Sign me up. Some friends and I attended an intimate bluegrass jam session one Sunday night. Felt like I was back in Ireland.

My flirtation with Nashville is turning into a part-time love affair. Who knows, maybe I'll commit some more time to this booming city. I've already got my cowgirl boots and that's saying a lot from a New York gal.
